I use these cardboard bobbins (from amazon unfortunately). They can hold ~2 oz comfortably, but I think I’ve managed 4 oz before. I use my Eel Wheel to wind them (I bought an extra steel rod, ball bearings, and the 3d printed pieces. Dreaming Robots has a feature about this on the website somewhere, how to adapt the Eel Wheel.)
