Yea they will stand under the feeder if there's a baffle on it and just wait for birds to knock some seeds on the ground. peanuts will get expensive. i have a double shepherd's hook feeder with 1 baffle on it. sometimes ill put seeds on the ground underneath it but even if i don't, like clockwork the squirels are right underneath it every day scavenging the ground.
