i like these new kind of roller shades so much we are replacing every blind in the house with them. i’ve been doing an outside mount so i don’t have to order a custom size and just get them wide enough so it covers the trim on each side. they install differently the. a blind and just need 2 brackets spaced evenly so i don’t even have to use a tape measure. they come with a built in header and unlike the blinds i had everything is metal so they should last. they do a great job blocking the light.
we got these new kind of roller shades and put them inside for the upstairs bedrooms and outside on windows and our front door that get the afternoon sun. they’ve lowered our energy bill by $25 a month compared to last year. by using an outside mount we didn’t have to order custom sizes and they are so well made. they come with a built in header and it and all of the hardware is metal. i’m replacing all of our blinds with these and the difference in quality is like night and day. plus i am sick and tired of trying to clean blinds!
i’d do a solid color roller shade that will block the light and heat from the sun. i like this style and brand much more then a curtain or blinds. we are slowly replacing every blind in our house with these. one side of the house faces the after sun and they do a great job at blocking the light and heat.
