Mine have held up for years. I sometimes have to replace a panel. And when we got 7 feet of snow, several of the bottom one bent under the weight. You do have to get a 1000 pack of zip ties and zip tie all the corners together. The cat won't be able to push it's way out. But repeated jumping from a higher level to a lower level can eventually crack the panel. I also zip tie rubber floor panels to the tops of the walking areas, so their paws don't fall in.
