I'm weird about not wanting my phone stuffed away, too. I never touch it and always use Android Auto, but it's just the way I want my things to be. I bought a magsafe type holder that hooks in through the vents ( link ). I also added one of the trays that sticks on above the radio that I like to use sometimes, too ( link ). I have a 21 so my dash looks different. The wireless charging isn't great at all and I had to add a dongle to make Android Auto wireless, but the setup is mine and I've done it the way I like it.
