Hare Krishna 🙏💕 thank you for your thoughtful posts. If you want to read Srila Prabhupada's books and they aren't available in your local library oftentimes you can request them. It's nice to do this service since it benefits others as well as yourself. Another idea is to read the books online for free via https://vedabase.io/en it has almost all of Srila Prabhupada's books shared with BBT permission and they are always adding more. Both my husband and I read other versions of the Bhagavad Gita before coming to ISKCON. Personally I appreciate that Srila Prabhupada keeps to the spirit of the Gita by keeping bhakti, love of God, and Krishna in the center. For those that struggle with the purports or Sanskrit I always recommend Ranchor Prime's Bhagavad Gita since they are a Srila Prabhupada disciple and keep to the same essence as his guru. https://www.amazon.com/Bhagavad-Gita-Talks-Between-Soul-ebook/dp/B006K5NYCA/ This is another book that would be great to request for your local library. I find it has a very contemporary and welcoming feel for newcomers without losing the focus on bhakti and Krishna. Again thanks to the author being a Srila Prabhupada disciple. Hope this helps. Haribol!😊
