Good idea but you can also buy 3M VHB (if cheaper elsewhere) since that is what's typically used. I also used these static sheets: https://a.co/d/0fWsU6PK I'm certain Viofo gives two of them in the box. I cut them in half since that's all that is needed for the adhesive area. Makes it super easy to remove later.
