You should get a cool peel and stick wall paper for the back wall of the cubby and maybe a hanging shelf that you can add things to! Also, I saw the comments about the chair vs couch and wondered if you’ve ever thought of a pull out couch? Our loft is the game area and we got one of the smaller couches on Amazon that have a chaise but also have a section that pulls out from under the couch and makes a big bed! It can get awkward with the coffee table but we love it and make it work. We have 5 cats and two dogs and it’s a perfect place to chill all together. They’re decently cheap and have added storage. I got and store extra bed pillows that I bought cool cases for and pull them out and line them on the back and put a thick blanket/duvet down (mostly for pet protection but also comfort) and have cool throw blankets we use. I’d also highly recommend some end tables if you go that route. We got some of the cheap ones on Walmart or Amazon that are small but have a cubby at the top and two deep fabric drawers below it.
