I checked it at several spots. At my normal white rice time, it wasn't edible. That's all that I know. I left it on Keep Warm for another 30 mins before plating. I don't want a crunchy or chewy texture. This is the specific one that I used. https://a.co/d/06iiFlOJ My go-to Basmati rice comes out perfectly with the white rice setting on my rice cooker. I don't eat brown rice often, but it definitely takes longer, for me, than white rice. I did other searches and it says that black rice can be cooked on the brown rice setting which would be 60 mins vs 70 mins for porridge setting. I use more stock than the typical rice that I make when I make white rice to infuse more flavor. Anyway, try it yourself and see how it works for you. Everyone likes different textures.
