Shimano’s 11 speed isn’t designed for the extra tension of the belt so err on the side of running it not loose, but not tight. Avoid exposing the belt to strong detergents like car wash detergents. They will sap it of its normal conditioning and it will make a squeaky noise. To fix this I ended up using a silicone based lubricant to recondition it.
