If you are just flying a camera rocket for fun, something I just did that was surprisingly successful was to simply make a flat nosecone and put a 1/4-20 rod through it attaching to a camera that mounted on the top of the rocket. No obstructions at all. Just throw a $50 "gooooproooo" on it.
