If you can afford just a little more, the Cutech benchtop jointer is a lot better. The craftsman uses two strait knives that become trash with a single knick in the blade, it has an aluminum fence, and it's only 30 inches long. The Cutech is a 12" helical cutter with 4 cutting edges per insert that are very cheap to replace, it has built in adjustable extensions that extend the top up to 24" making it 54" long, and it has a fully adjustable cast iron fence and top with significantly stronger brackets. So, the Cutech can plane much larger material more accurately while still fitting in a smaller storage space. https://a.co/d/00hVgtHY
