the memory care permitted residents to use a Voip phone service (Vonage). there is an ethernet connection in each room. Vonage has a small box that goes between the phone and the ethernet connection. i hooked up everything and a resident manager completed the rest of the setup. Vonage charges $9 per month. we bought a phone off amazon, Vtech. it has a couple pushbuttons for programming phone numbers. we just programmed the buttons and used a label maker to print out names. if you had a color printer you might be able to print photos. amazon link to the Vtech phone below. https://a.co/d/04lFz6PV our LO is able to dial out just pressing the button. she had problems using an IPhone 6 SE. her cognition just degraded to the point where she didn't understand the icons on the screen. somehow that phone disappeared and we're unable to locate because the battery died. she has a propensity for hiding things. its probably in a shoe or elsewhere. it was a good thing that we had setup the Vonage phone.
