I just ordered a recliner from Amazon since I’m on chemo and go home with it every couple weeks. I say this because they have some fairly priced (a couple hundred $) recliners that have this assist option you need. Also, make sure your mom is using her pillow! This helped my dad with his open heart surgery and I’ve had several abdominal surgeries. Holding a good firm pillow helps take the pressure off the abdominal muscles in standing and walking. And make sure she’s walking as able to keep those veins and arteries flowing. You’re wonderful for looking for solutions to help your mom recover in the best way possible. And as a side note, my recliner is good but also getting a lot of wear and tear from me. Even though I paid a few hundred, I won’t be upset if it only lasts a year or two.
