I've used steel hanging wire i found at lowes, i think its this one on amazon The 20gauge ive used bends easy and has some 100+ bend cycles in my (not all so scientific) tests. Its worked great for me. Ive been told steel isnt as good as aluminum but ive been fine, so if someone more experienced has more info id be interested as well.
