Ideally, but as you point out, you'll be going from one compromise placement to another that close to the corner. Unless you want to invest in a new, slimmer console, I think it's best to leave them where they are. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. But, I would use some isolation pads like these, or even cheap rubber pads from the hardware store, to isolate/decouple the speakers from the console and record player a bit. Or get something like IsoAcoustics isolation stands if you really want to take it seriously.

If on hard floors, silicone isolation pads should remedy any vibration concerns. In my home theater room, I have 2 12" 500W RMS subs with tables over them. Nothing on top of the tables vibrates. If those aren't shaking anything, I wouldn't be worried about the Sub Mini.

Should work, but you might have to accept some compromise, because it will limit your placement options if you stick to regular side table locations. On the flip side, if you want to find the optimum placement using the sub crawl, you may find the best spot is a place where a side table doesn't make sense, and it could look awkward. Either way, if you're on hard floors, get some silicone isolation pads like these to put under the table to prevent and vibration issues.
