Hey I have the same injury! Broke may 28th, and It's been a little over a week since my surgery (staples out next Wednesday!). Here's how I've been coping (and managing what little sanity I have left). -tylenol AND oxycodone together managed so much of my pain (1000mg tylenol and 5mg oxycodone. For legal reasons i am not your doctor). I used an app called Pillo to keep everything organized and it saved my brain. I have this incline pillow from Amazon https://a.co/d/03L76NDi and I'll tell you WHAT it's awesome and helped so so much. My other must have is this padding for crutches https://a.co/d/06HS0bbQ my hands would be filled with blisters if it weren't for these. A shower chair and wheelchair have also been great (borrowed from a local senior center). Ice under the knee is the way to go. Do not be afraid to call your doctor for a rewrap because the splint will likely move around and start causing lots of pain the more the swelling goes down. a LOT of visual entertainment like TV or video games. I have a few books by my bed and just haven't had the energy to do anything with them. vitamin D because you won't be getting any naturally. Good luck, and hopefully you're mostly pain free soon!
