Yes, it's easy. Not as a one shot - but chapter by chapter - yes I do it all the time. These aren't professional books but I used claude to write books to read to my nine year old at bed time. Currently writing book 9. All books are between 100-200k words. I start by giving a general idea and then getting it to give me 10-20 chapter briefs. Then I get it to generate each chapter according to the brief. Then read through the chapter and tweak any nonsense. Now would it work for a professional book people would be happy to pay money for? Not sure but the quality isn't that bad. Does it give amazing books that I can target specifically to my child's interests, align with what they are reading at school, sneakily prepare them for upcoming tests - hell, yes. If you've got kindle unlimited I put one of them up there (nobody reads it but it is pretty funny!)
