The Pro Controller is great for high intensity games like Call of Duty or Apex Legends, where max comfort & highest accuracy is key to winning. But there's not too many of those games on Switch 2 compared to the other consoles. For more low-key games like Animal Crossing... you probably don't need it. For my purposes, the Pro Controller is the best wireless controller that comes with an audio jack, which I really want for the headset I use to play with my friends. I like wired headsets. If you aren't playing online games & you don't need an audio jack, then look into 8bitdo controllers instead. If you get the Pro Controller, consider getting a replacement plan too, because who knows what could happen in a year or two. Count your blessings if it never develops stick drift!
