You already have plenty suggestions for washing, conditioning and cleansing so I'll spare you the repeat. Are you sliding under the car without a creeper? If you had a low profile creeper that would save the back of your hair from the junk and debris on the ground for sure. Without a creeper and if they're primarily up on the lift I'd say get one of those satin lined scrub caps doctors wear, and after you take it off, pick or fluff your hair as needed. The satin lining will offer your hair some protection and you can toss them in the washer to keep them clean!
