As a new player, first I would say don't get lost in the hype of the gear. They're comfortable, have all the JT Proflex benefits but a better lens system. They're cheaper if your new and they're insanely comfortable. Get some knee pads. Paintball kneepads can be expensive, but ive been using these for around 6 years and I love them. Don't get the latest and greatest, honestly try to look for a used planet eclipse gun, a Gtek 160r can be found cheap and theyre awesome, or look at the Etha 2 or Etha 3 lineup. As a new player just dont get caught up in the hype of the coolest trends and colorways etc. all stuff that doesnt matter and wont make your more effective. I've played a long time, had a lot of special high end guns and I came back to the sport 2 years ago and rocked a 160r and an etha 2. It didnt make me suck any less and they didnt keep me from being the best player I could be. Have fun and be sensible, most of the people standing around you will never go pro and ultimately none of this really matters. It's about the friends you make and having fun that makes the whole thing special will make you come back over and over again.
