Normally that is true but the stock tune on the 2013 is acting as a governor. Same thing happened to my Kawasaki ninja. brand new. Thing refused to run good until i changed out the entire exhaust system. Turns out Kawasaki had factory tuned the bike to NOT run as well with stock exhaust. This tuner has preprogrammed hardware profiles. I just told it i put in a cold air intake and it programmed it on the spot using Dyno testing profiles for our trucks. I was skeptical at first but for our truck the 2013 this expensive tuner does in fact live up to expectations. It also lets you permanently delete AFM and tweak transmission settings. You just have to make sure you do not interrupt the tune while it is programming.
