This is really old, but I thought I would chime in if you are still wondering about this. For the fractures: One tip would be to use builder gel on your nails, even just a coat or two of clear gel, if you still want them to look completely natural. It will keep them from breaking/ fracturing. For the typing: I use keyboard stickers for long nails that I bought for 10 bucks on Amazon. It got rid of the typo problem entirely.
