I don't know about this book in particular but my entire love affair with everything Titanic - and ship-related in general - started with this book right here. I got it from a school book fair when I was in the 4th grade, so it's definitely age-appropriate for a child around that age. The information within is probably dated by this point given the book came out in the early 90s, but it's still a fantastic book and is full of Ken Marschall paintings.
