I have been using this cheap wancle unit once or twice a week since 2022: https://www.amazon.com/Wancle-Waterproof-Temperature-Interface-Ultra-Quiet/dp/B01M26G9YP Anova is obviously terrified of completely sinking after their "oh uh we have to phase out old models because of uh... we need you to buy a new one security reason that's super real" so that was likely coupled with a bunch of engineered failure points. No one should ever give them money again.
