I pursued those options and went with an external crucial 4 terabyte external drive for I think around 450 bucks. No tinkering with the device and I never see load screens or notice any difference, and I've got a 5tb beast! If you use steam you can swap the SSD between your computer and the legion and not have to download the games on both pcs. I keep my Legion go and my computer very clean and have all the games on the external ssd.
