just get the jtech extractor off amazon. i use one, have spoken to multiple others who use one, and it gives none of us issues. has all the features this aliexpress unit has https://a.co/d/01N4SKNP also make sure you've got the switch flipped to 5.1, and your pc is licensed to output AC3 via HDMI before you spend more money. i'd just buy a used soundcard with optical if i was building a fr home theater
