Can't recommend any specifically about WW1 armor development, I got to identify the poor Schneider because most of my research goes into 20th century military history in general. Tho Michael Howard and Liddell Hart's works, although somewhat outdated, are still great introductions to the ww1 topic in general. I know that Ian V. Hogg has some VERY specific, good-depth and easy to get into works about weapon development from the last century, specially artillery, small arms and gas during world war I. I guess you can easily find his WW1 specific books since they were published in the Ballentine collection.Such as this one. usually they're cheap and easily found in the anglosphere, but also in other countries under different publishers.
