I suggest getting a simple child/pet cabinet safety lock like this design: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F4QSRN5T It sounds like you should be child-proofing more than just the printer? There are entire books, sites, videos, and etc. devoted to this topic. My son went through a “curious” phase that was difficult to live with. Child-“proofing” is a misnomer, you’re aiming to add a little delay to make legitimate toys etc. much easier to choose and also as an obvious warning about “not for you”. I eventually understood my father’s saying on this that also explains ME a lot: “Your duty as a parent is to keep the pain below the lethal and disfiguring level. Everything else is a learning experience.” “Pain” here also applies to psychological pain and discomfort generally. Some kids just insist on doing everything the hard way. I guess it runs in the family… 😎
