No problem! Yeah it looks like that card is super easy to replace. Just take the bottom cover off and it's immediately accessible, right next to the right fan (if oriented with the battery towards you). It's a little challenging to see which cards are compatible, but this one is only $18 so it's worth a shot. Sounds like Intel cards are more reliable in these laptops. Or you could get a USB wifi adapter like this one, which will certainly get better reception than the internal card. *edit* and of course, if you replace the card, you'll probably need to temporarily hardwire your laptop to the router to install drivers if your system doesn't recognize it automatically

Except for the speed, your plan and equipment sounds like mine, and yes, compared to other cities, it's a good deal. Charter Communications, which owns Spectrum, is competing with other entities, which has driven prices down. Keep in mind that only the latest appliances (TVs/Laptops) will be able to utilize Wi-Fi 7. If your older gear is running Wi-Fi 5, it won't benefit from your new Wi-Fi, which serves 5-GHz speeds for backward compatibility but also supports multi-channel 6 and 7, which are significantly faster. I updated my Roku to take advantage of Wifi 6 in its latest model. AFAIK Roku is yet to support wifi 7. I then added a USB Wifi 6 adapter to my laptop, again take advantage of the latest speed. It has "dual bands" within 6, so its all around faster than its base wifi 6 chip in the laptop.
