Also, for whatever it's worth to you, this is another small business owner and HA user that makes/sells BLE Beacons and similar stuff. His beacons have been unquestionably better than others I've tried and they're highly configurable through the KBeacon phone app. I use mostly the keychain beacons to track/located car keys, pets(pet collar), phones, smart watches, etc. You can use the BT to do room presence detection for more personalized automations among many things.
