Venus on the Half Shell by Kilgore Trout (Philip Jose Farmer). Kilgore Trout is a recurring minor character in several of Kurt Vonnegut's novels as a science fiction writer. Farmer asked Vonnegut if he could pen a novel under the Kilgore Trout pseudo-name. Vonnegut agreed and Farmer wrote a pretty funny but almost pornographic novel. Vonnegut was not amused supposedly.
