Last Man Standing by Craig A. Falconer. It has the same kind of pace, problem solving, and fun. This is the first of a nine-book series, organized kind of into 3 sets of 3. In my personal opinion, you could stop at the end of book 1 or at the end of 3 or at the end of 9, and you will know if you want to go on, so it's well-structured for people who might want to check out early. But the first book is very much the kind of thing like The Martian or Project Hail Mary. I was really surprised how similar the writing style was (thought he plot is clearly different). It's free if you have Kindle Unlimited or pretty cheap on Kindle generally. I like the audiobooks but they're overpriced for such short books, even though well-told. I also like Falconer's Not Alone series, which has a different pacing but is still good. There I definitely recommend the audiobook just because the performance of the voices adds a lot, I think. That's a series, too, though the first book stands on its own. What makes this series stand out for me is its choice to focus on "public relations" as a central aspect of the topic. Another where problem solving is interesting, though different than the ones you list, is Cast Under an Alien Sun, by Olan Thorensen, first book in h is excellent "Destiny's Crucible" series. The characters are what I like, though it has a lot of technological and military problem solving. I'm not one to usually read military stuff, but it's well-explained and fits nicely into a larger framework. The way I always say it is that it's a lot like A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court meets Ender's Game in terms of styles.
