There are youtube videos about how to remove bubbles. A bubble may just be trapped air, or it can be caused by a piece of dust under the glass. If you're careful, you can remove a piece of dust, but it's tricky. You don't want to touch the adhesive side of the glass with your fingers, because that may add dirt/oils that may hake the adhesive less effective. I know you don't want to buy another tempered glass, but sometimes you may need to. When I buy tempered glass, I always buy a pack of 2 or 3, because I know there's a decent chance my first install might not go well or be fixable / acceptable. (I didn't get good with putting tempered glass on until I'd done at least a couple switches, mine, and a family members, then switch 2. Practice does help.) As an expample is the pack I bought. https://www.amazon.com/Auto-Alignment-Protector-Accessories-Installation-Anti-Scratch-Ultra-Clear/dp/B0DRCKDWD1
Tempered glass screen protector is strongly recommended day one for switch 2. The anti shatter film on switch 2 is not a screen protector, and it has lousy scratch resistance. The switch & switch 2 do not have great scratch resistance like we're used to with smartphones. There are several good tempered options on the market. Here's a popular recommended option: https://www.amazon.com/Auto-Alignment-Protector-Accessories-Installation-Anti-Scratch-Ultra-Clear/dp/B0DRCKDWD1
Yes, the screen is covered by a soft plastic anti glass-scattering film, meant to protect kids if the glass screen where to break, problem is that it is prone to scratches, even using the official docking station could be enough to cause micro scratches. Easiest way to prevent this and to protect the screen, is to apply a screen protector, for example amFilm OneTouch (Amazon).
Tempered glass screen protector is strongly recommended day one. The anti shatter film on switch 2 screen does not have great scratch resistance like we're used to with smartphones these days. There's a post or two every week with people surprised at how easily the switch 2 screen scratched. There are several decent options on the market, and this is one of them: https://www.amazon.com/Auto-Alignment-Protector-Accessories-Installation-Anti-Scratch-Ultra-Clear/dp/B0DRCKDWD1 Zelda Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey are kind of peak ninetndo. If you have ever liked first person shooters, you might really like Splatoon. If you're buying splatoon for the online modes (that's splatoon's main attraction), you buy the most recent, which is Splatoon 3. To play online, it does require a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, $20 a year. Splatoon Raiders is coming July 23, but it's mainly a single player campaign. We haven't seen too much of it yet. Splatoon single player is good, though. There will be a Nintendo Direct specifically for Raiders on june 30 - they may reveal more about the game. If you have big adult hands, a pro controller is probably the way to go if you mainly play docked on a tv. You can use the swtich 1 pro controller, but that controller cannot wake a sleeping switch 2. It's your call if that's a deal breaker.
Switch 2's matte coating seems just like switch 1's matte coating, and that coating will show wear if it's used regularly, like around the buttons just from your fingers. Or from where fingers rest on the back (granted you have a case to prevent that). I don't know how the case action will fair. Do you have a screen protector on that switch2? That anti shatter film that comes on the screen from the factory has LOUSY scratch resistance. There are posts every week since switch 2 launch with people surprised how easily the switch 2 anti shatter film scratched or dented. And they wonder how to fix it - the only way to get rid of the scratches is a repair job$$ to replace the screen. So, a tempered glass screen protector is strongly recommended day one for anyone that gets a switch 2 (also good habit for all switch models). There are several decent tempered glass options on the market, I've been pleased with amFilm's 2 pack tempered glass with alignment tool, $9 on amazon.
