Try the moldable silicone ones. They cover the ear canal and don't go into it like foam ones. You can reuse them a few times but eventually they have to get thrown out. There's also swimmer's style ear plugs that are washable and reusable, they go into the ear a little bit, but not as far as foam ones. Their noise reduction isn't as great but it's better than nothing.
