+1 for grow lights. I like these Sansi clip on lights, but you can also use a Sansi bulb in a regular desk lamp (that has a fitting for an incandescent bulb). I also have a set of Barrina T5 lights under the shelf. The round clip lights are the Sansi clips. They're on a timer to turn on every 12 hours so my happy green friends stay happy even on my work from home days and weekends when I'm not in the office. The Barrina lights are only on for the 8 hours 2-3 days/week that I'm in the office.

I use Sansi clip lights and Barrina T5 lights. I've also had good success with a Sansi bulb in a regular goose neck desk lamp. That green tradescantia directly under the peace lily was an almost dead scraggly thing that my mom had in a dark corner of a bedroom. I put a lamp with that Sansi bulb on it for 8-10 hours a day (building up to that length of time gradually so as to not shock it), started watering it appropriately, chopped and propped repeatedly, and it eventually turned into that dense monster there. I repotted it and brought it in to work and here it's been since.
