I have both. The Quest 3 is the clearer headset, and it's easier to just put on and play, with a much larger and easier to find and keep sweet spot. I would consider the PSVR2 a downgrade for PC VR. I only use it for PS5 VR games now. I run quest 3 wired through ethernet when I'm sim racing with Virtual Desktop. I just turn the wi-fi off in the quest 3 and run an ethernet cable to the headset. This connects to your ethernet:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F8TDL49F?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleThen this is the extension so you don't have to have that big adapter attached to your headset:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FD7CS7LL?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Its technically unsupported, but the Virtual Desktop discord has a sub channel of people who do it. Seemingly any USB C hub with gigabit works. If you have a dock for a apple laptop that might work. This and an extension cable is common. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F8TDL49F

There is a bug in the Meta software that is responsible. On Discord's Virtual Desktop group, it's been documented and apparently Meta knows about it. Same with Virtual Desktop and enabling hand tracking in the Meta VD Streaming screen. Every 60 seconds you get a massive FPS drop and frame time spike. I think Meta has released an update since the bug was reported and no change. THe workaround is to change codecs from time to time (I bounce from 264+ to AV1 and back) OR inside VR long hold the left controller button and go back to desktop and back to VR. Weird shit. As for trying to bypass the Wifi connection to your headset: I got a ethernet/usb adapter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F8TDL49F). I plug that into my gaming access point and turn off wifi 6, then plug that into my headset. You can even charge to the adapter too and keep near 100% charge for hours and hours. I just sit and play flight sims, so the wired headset doesn't bother me. Good luck, you're not alone. EDIT: my system is 9950X3D, 5080, 64GB. Use Park Control with Game Mode and Game optimization off in WIndows, DLSS preset "K", GODMODE in VD, etc...
