Heres what we did this year and have seen a much wider variety of birds. We put out a bird bath and added a small solar fountain so water would stay moving. (I know this is a plant saucer, but the depth is just enough and its wide enough). Remember to clean about every other day and always pro ide fresh water. In addition to that I'd recommend mealworms, black oil sunflower seeds and some peanuts (unsalted). I use a few premixed blends as well from some others brands. I go through pounds and pounds of loose seed weekly and it can get messy since some birds are picky eaters. I stumbled upon these bird seed cylinders and they have been a great addition. The birds have to work at eating the food by pecking and they dont flick the food everywhere. So these have been a win win for me! Less mess and i get to enjoy watching the birds eat longer 😋 🐦 Hope this helps!
