Has been running steady for the last 3 years and no issues if someone accidentally bumps into the soundbar: Mounting Dream Soundbar Mount

I got my SB bracket from Amazon after I'd hung the TV on the wall. If you work with a helper, you can mount it without taking the TV of its bracket. Here's the one I bought: Soundbar bracket for tv

If your TV is a Sony, your Q990F cannot be wireless. Both items need to be Samsung for wireless capability. Here is a link to the soundbar mount that I used for my 990: https://a.co/d/0anJZ0MA I chose that one because the width bar is a single piece as opposed to two pieces screwed into a center plate (Full disclaimer: It attaches to your TVs mount so you should allow some space for clearance of the speakers...which may then place you in "too high" territory. Buyer beware.) The wording of, "The spouse wants to get a 'wireless soundbar'..." is the thing that jumps out to me. To answer your 2nd question(s) it may make sense sonically but not aesthetically which is probably why she threw out those words as a suggestion. I'd look more towards a Sony Quad (or A9 if that's too pricey), possibly the Hisense Saturn. I would say the new LGs would be worth looking at, but you'd need a Dolby FlexConnect compatible TV to pull that off. Best of luck.
