I purchased a remote control: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09H6DM9M8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title from Amazon (about $7 US) for an LG Model: LAS454B sound bar (manufactured: Aug. 2015) matched to an S55A-3D subwoofer. Your procedure solved the issue of the subwoofer's green light flashing continuously without pairing. On the remote, I held down the Volume Down button until I thought the volume was muted, pressed and held the Mute button, the mode changed, the subwoofer paired, and the green light went solid. I then listened to some some old-school NWA rap: 'The Boys in the Hood' to balance the sub and sound bar levels. Thanks again.
