I've lifted the connector's on the USB connector to tighten it. I also used WD-40 contact cleaner (this helped only a little). I got a new Wireless Carplay Adapter to plug-in and now Apple CarPlay is working fine. I think it is a data transfer issue. Luckily the actual cord is not the problem because it's nearly $300 to replace. This is the one I bought if you want to try it. https://a.co/d/0i1gCIsP
