In general the darker the roast the more the oils rise to the surface. As stated by another post your best chance is to get fresh roasted. You can use oily beans, but your machine will require added maintenance. You will need to clean it more often and use grinder cleaner tabs too. It is a trial and error. I used to use slightly oily beans with no issue in my machines, but each machine is different. A lot of people use Grindz to clean their grinder. I use once a year, but I prefer a medium roast.
