I'd hazard to say every modeler would say the same about small parts! I would recommend investing in a few different quality tweezers, they can go a long way. Plus, using some sort of 'steady' for your hand as you place parts is a huge help. It can be anything relatively solid but not intrusive, like a large paperweight or a brick or something like that. There's even purpose-made steady fixtures. Try to have at least one pair of tweezers that are called 'cross action' or 'reverse action' tweezers, where they self-clamp and you squeeze them to release the part like these. For glue, you can accomplish 99% of stuff with some sort of a standard liquid cement like the Tamiya green or orange bottle stuff. I usually keep one of both or equivalent, because they can work best for different circumstances. Also grab a medium consistency CA (aka super glue) as it's handy for assemblies that demand quick setup times or are for bonding dissimilar materials. Or, you could just 'cheat' and get something like this.
