This is one area I cannot help with as I scour the web for bargain towels at 1/2 to 1/3 the cost.... yet equal or near equal quality. I have a very hard time pulling the trigger on $25 to $50 towels. I don't want to spend much more than $2 a towel... and lower is, of course, better. Examples. Buffing Towel: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071RMLP47?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1: $2.33 per towel / A comparable Rag Company towel is $6.25 per towel Leveling Towel: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0788HGCDF?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5&th=1 $1.66 per towel / A comparable Rag Company Towel is $3.68 Interior Towel: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FY6KYBVV?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 $0.41 (yes, 41 cents) per towel / A comparable Rag Company Towel is $1.40

You can spend boatloads of money buying products labeled as domestic brands but made in the same factories in China as the lower cost chinese brands. In fact, many of the domestic towels are the same egg foo young towels you can buy for much less, absent branding. Let me save you some time and money. Buy these as your buffing towel: 6 each 70/30 450GSM Plush towels for $13.99.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071RMLP47 Buy these as your leveling towel: 6 each 70/30 340gsm low pile towels for $9.99https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0788HGCDF?th=1 Buy these as an interior towel: 24 towels for $9.99https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FY6KYBVV?th=1 UNfortunately, the two lower cost acceptable drying towels I use appear to no longer be available. This was one of them.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQV3CXVD The other is another "Homexcel" towel. The exact towel I purchased was $9.99 each. It's no longer available but they have another which may be an upgrade to it. 1200gsm for $12.99https://www.amazon.com/HOMEXCEL-Absorbent-Streak-Free-Microfiber-Motorcycles/dp/B0DPZCZJLV?th=1 And here are two Fantasticlean drying towels for $9.99. The towels I was buying are the same company as these, which go for 2 towels for $9.99. The Fantastic Clean drying towels I was buying (linked above) that are out of stock were $15,99 for 2 towelshttps://www.amazon.com/Fantasticlean-Microfiber-Dual-Colored-Absorbent-Scratch-Free/dp/B0F7WYYNXB/

This is why I have a hard time pulling the trigger on expensive towels... and I consider $2 per towel to be "expensive". Leveling towels, be they for wax or ceramics, I use once and then toss into a bucket seperate from my other towels. Some will end up tossed. Some will end up washed and reused for interiors, wheels, and trim. I found a 340gsm 70/30 blend on Amazon at $1.66 per towel (6 towels for $10) I use for this purpose, so it's not an expensive loss if I toss it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0788HGCDF?th=1 Note: These towels may leach a little dye on first wash., I find that generally happens with inexpensive red towels. The price you pay for inexpensive.
