Hmm I’m not sure I have access to an audio source that uses AV cables. I may just call the store I bought the ps2 from and ask them for assistance with the audio issue. They have a repair center as well so hopefully that settles that. Hmm I can’t fully remember. I do remember swapping off of RGB and switching to Y CB/PB CR/PR if that’s what you’re referring to. The retrotink I just can’t stop hearing good things about. I’d love to invest in the 5x pro but $350 for it is a bit too excessive for me lol. What’re your thoughts on the retroscaler 2x? It’s almost a 4th of the price of the 5x pro and it seems really solid too, from what I’ve heard at least. Also, is the hyperkin any good? Ik you said adapters/converters in general suck, but I heard this one is really solid. It’s also $30 bucks lol.

Well those hdmi converts are notoriously terrible so the blurry visuals is due to that. The audio on the other hand could be either the converter or a bad cord. For a converter your best bet is a retrolink they give you the best Audio and visual quality. A cheaper option I’ve found that was surprisingly solid was this hdmi adapter. It’s no retrolink but mine is leagues better than any of the other converters I’ve tried. Had it for 2 years before I got my retrolink and it worked perfectly
