Any one telling you not to use a torque wrench is an idiot and should never be listened to. Along with the torque wrench you need blue and red lock tight, blue is for if at some time you will want to remove the bolt/nut later, derby covers, axel nuts etc. Red is for if you never want to remove it again, it is removable but you have to add some heat. These are the 2 wrenches I have, they are very nice and work great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MP1Q3W8?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M68FY3X?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_4&th=1

Since you are starting, you may as well buy good stuff. I have more expensive ones but these work every bit as good as any of the others.I have inch pounds and ft pounds linked. https://a.co/d/06OvVf43 https://a.co/d/05Na2Yfh These will pretty much handle it all. Derby cover info:For pre 2018 models you WILL NEED A T-27 TORX HEAD BIT. FWIW I’d change the bolts to an Allen cap screw 1/4 20x5/8 size. Trust me, make sure you use a T-27 because a a T-26 will work to get them off but you’ll fuck them putting them back on.If you ask anyone about these bolts they will tell you the same. I have a fist full of 1/4 20 bolts in my stack for a reason.
