I was considering a flash drive setup, but I didn't want to deal with the slow FMV playback speeds you get from playing games that way, so I found a SMB/ethernet solution that worked for me. And yea, the HDMI converter was picked up from a local retro game store. I grabbed that and a copy of San Andreas to immediately test my console's output and disk reader during the 7-day return window. I wish I could tell you what kind of brand the adapter is, but I imagine this one on Amazon works similarly.
