Oh u/KamchatkasRevenge! He has a great series called Of Dog, Volpir and Man: An Out of Cruel Space Story* *that you can read on here or buy the more finished EBooks. It is a side story, but I remember it explaining the universe very well for new timers and can easily stand on its own. It’s a spin off of Out Of Cruel Space by u/KyleKKent, a fantastic sci-fi series over on r/HFY, which is updated just about daily (and has over 1600 chapters currently). Highly endorse both of these series even if harem lit isn’t really my bag.
