Lectric is a good brand. The expedition is a good bike for a car replacement vehicle. I recommend the dual long range edition. The extra rider and cargo weight will necessitate the larger batteries. The low profile step through frame is a big advantage as well. Get the rear kid bars. They will let you mount a roomy basket or crate for the pupper. If you plan to take a passenger later on the running boards are a good idea as well. Also consider a more comfortable seat with a backrest. https://www.magicyclebike.com/cdn/shop/files/oversized-e-bike-seat-saddle-with-backrest-2_1400x.jpg?v=1709806623 A suspension seat post is another good upgrade. https://www.amazon.com/Hydraulic-Suspension-seatpost-Lightweight-absorbers/dp/B0F1SLXNV1/ It’s a lot nicer than getting punched in the giblets over every pothole. Put some quality tube sealant in the tubes. I’d recommend running at the max pressure listed on the sidewalls. Don’t forget to budget for some good grinder resistant lock(s) and a good helmet. Check on low income e-bike initiatives in your state or province. I’ve seen some that will cover the Letric brand.
