I did get the MALM in the end! No issues to report. I did the following to ensure the frame and mattress would be stable: - Bought Zinus Deepak Easy Assembly Wood Slats, instead of the default IKEA slats. Unfortunately it seems Queen size is out of stock but here's the link: https://a.co/d/02OgLAoR - Increased stability on the SKORVA middle beam by adding adjustable bed frame support legs. These were the ones I ended up buying (RealPlus support legs 7" - 13"), it was tough to find ones that would fit: https://a.co/d/0hmVyDJb - Stuck on felt bumpers wherever anything could not be prevented from moving around to dampen noise - The MALM's wraparound frame may create a little valley between the mattress and a nighttable. Objects could easily fall in and hit the frame loudly, such as a phone. To fill the gap, I cut up pool noodles to put on each side. Can't really speak to anything regarding Thuma since it's been a long time since I did all the research and shopping, but if there's any words of wisdom I have on this subject, I think it's more worth it to spend the money on the mattress more than on the frame. The mattress I bought was more than $1000 CAD after taxes (and I am very happy with it to this day), whereas the total I spent on the frame was less than $500 CAD (and I am also happy with my decision).
